How did you get into baking?

I grew up watching my grandma Jane make the best butterscotch pie and chocolate chip cookies in the world. She always let me lick the batter off the beaters, and I’ve continued the practice into adulthood!

What do you love most about the baking process?

We love watching people take that first bite of cake (and the second, and the third).

What inspired you to start a blog?

Anna and I love trying out new recipes together and we realized that blogging is a fantastic way to connect with other creative foodies! We love the baking community. Also for the fame 😉

What recipe are you most proud of?

Sweet Potato Crust Pizza with Mushrooms & Kale

Do you have a favorite ingredient that you like to use?

The real answer is butter, but we also love using coconut oil!

What’s an ingredient that you’ve never used, but would like to try?

What a fun question! We’d love to try using saffron.

Are there any lesser known brands or products that you enjoy using?

We’re in love with our Marcato Atlas pasta maker.

Do you have any advice for someone who is thinking about starting a blog?

If you can, get a partner! It’s way more fun and easier to manage if you have someone who can share in your joys and carry some of the hard work that comes with maintaining a blog.

What type of gear/tools do you use for creating your blog posts?

We use our iPhones, Canon DSLR, WordPress, and a kitchen chair to stand on!
