How did you get into baking?

My mother taught me how to cook, but most of all how to enjoy flavors and respect ingredients. When I was a kid and she couldn’t get home to make lunch she’d call me to guide me through the process. I’m food photographer now.

What do you love most about the baking process?

Watching through the oven glass and smelling fresh bake goods.

What inspired you to start a blog?

I wanted to show people that photography was easy, so is cooking as well.

What recipe are you most proud of?

aceite de coco

Galette with Goat Cheese and Tomatoes

Do you have a favorite ingredient that you like to use?

Not really, but could die with a smile in my face eating goat cheese.

What’s an ingredient that you’ve never used, but would like to try?

Are there any lesser known brands or products that you enjoy using?

Kah Kow chocolate, Mandioca Bread (Casabe), Granadillo fruit, Sosúa butter, Mubravo yogurt.

Do you have any advice for someone who is thinking about starting a blog?

Do it! but be sure you know what you want to talk about.

What type of gear/tools do you use for creating your blog posts?

I use a Canon 6D, 50mm lens, and buying a 100mm macro lens this month.
